McLean, VA: The Section on Women’s Health, a professional association of nearly 3,000 physical therapists specializing in pelvic and abdominal health, has become a Platinum Sponsor of the inaugural Women in Physical Therapy Summit. The event is scheduled for Friday, November 4 in New York City and features an excellent lineup of speakers who will focus on leadership, career development, and communications.

The summit is open to physical therapists, healthcare entrepreneurs, and other leaders of the physical therapy and related professions.

“We are thrilled to sponsor this first-time summit at such a high level,” says SOWH President Patricia Wolfe, PT, MS. “So many of our members are already in leadership positions or are rising professionals, so we know what that career journey is like. We hope our sponsorship enables events such as this summit to help more female physical therapists reach the top rungs and to bring other women up with them.”

A sample of scheduled topics includes, “Standing Out and Standing Up: How Blogs, Social Media, Podcasts and More Can Advance Your Career,” “Think Like a Boss: Cultivating the Leadership Mindset,” and “How to Thrive Throughout your Career: Lessons from the Long Road.”
